The following photos were provided to the Pittsburgh
Area Mobile Technology User Group by an anonymous
source. We find them suggestive that PocketPC was
actually developed much earlier than originally
believed. Our investigation is ongoing...

Our second meeting
was held at the Riverfront Center offices of Thorp,
Reed & Armstrong, from 6:30 p.m. until about 9:00
p.m.
Earl passed out Brighthand and
MS Extreme T-shirts to those who had missed the
first meeting, after which we beamed around this
month's agenda. We loosely followed the
agenda, and spent the better part of 2 1/2 hours
discussing applications, news, improvements to this
website, future plans, showing off our customized
today screen setups, demo-ing our favorite apps, and
generally immersing ourselves in all things PocketPC.
After we devoured some great
Pizza from SanRemos, the pizzeria around the corner
from the meeting locale, we demo-ed transcriber for
a new user, and showed off some mp3's, mpegs, and
games. The hit app of the evening seemed to be
iGolf, which several of the members indicated would
be at the top of their download list.
We are all looking forward to
our next meeting on January 5, 2001.
