Club Profile

The Pittsburgh Mobile Technology Club is a collection of individuals from around the Pittsburgh metropolitan area that all share an interest in new technologies and especially small devices, such as PDAs. Our discussions range from how to implement secure tools in companies to innovations in the home. We follow technological innovations in the Pittsburgh area and learn how to take advantage of emerging technologies. We meet the Second Wednesday of each month to discuss new advancements in hardware and software applications, as well as tips and tricks for using these devices.  Every other month, we meet at various local restaurants for a social meeting.  To eat, drink, and talk with friends about latest news and rumors in a more casual environment.

Our group ranges in age from 20-somethings to retirees, and from novice computer users to network specialists, programmers and implementers of new technology. We use everything from a Handheld PCs and Smart Phones, to devices using the latest PocketPC and Palm operating systems, and even Tablet PCs. We encourage everyone to attend a meeting to learn more about us.

If you are considering purchasing a handheld or other mobile device, we can offer you advice and the opportunity to try a variety of units. If you are a novice user, come and learn what you can do with your unit. If you are an advanced user, come to refine your skills and help others reach the same level!
